Then I hung up the pieces I could hang, and laid out the rest on another piece of tin foil. 150 F is just about the highest you would want to heat it while being to handle it with your hands. I turned on my oven to 150 F, laid out a piece of tin foil and heated up the parts for about 10 minutes. I degreased it until the cloth was coming away clean, then used steel wool to take off the minor rust, then re-degreased. Once it was disassembled, I taped off what I didn’t want painted. ![]() Basically, these are the small (only) pieces you could lose.įor disassembly (and re-assembly), this is a good place to get a free manual or if you want a hard copy, this is a great resource. Went to the dollar store, got a small box and labelled a compartment for each screw/piece. If you’ve never took apart a 37 before, doing something like this is REALLY helpful.
